To offset the decline in physical and cognitive abilities such as unstable balance, loss of vision, or mild dementia will develop three different mobile platforms: a walker, a wheelchair and a tricycle. By incorporating the latest technologies, navigation and positioning, they will support the daily mobility and autonomy, improving transfers and displacements of these social groups.
The objective of the project is to develop modular support systems for all platforms that provide:
– Help for physical mobility when there is a loss of the ability to walk and also encourages physical exercise.
– Help for the loss of vision and cognitive ability by recognizing and avoiding obstacles to aid the user with orientation and navigation.
– Human calling support from the call centre to route addresses that have to be present in the technical aids.
– Security with regard to health risks through the connection to the call centre in case of emergency situations.
